“My Life is My Message...

I stare at the bookmark I was gifted during a leadership class themed around Gandhi and his life. The message is right there in front of me “our greatness lies not so much in our ability to remake the world, but in our ability to remake ourselves”.
Today is not only my birthday but the 3-year anniversary of healing and becoming. 3-years ago I was taking on the role of I can do it ALL super-woman, caregiver, and professional, while ignoring all the warning signs of complete burn-out and life-fatigue. Easier to stay busy and ignore than to pause, listen, and start taking care of your inner needs. After years of self-neglect and ignorance to a deeper self-connection, my body shut down to force a reset.
As I reflect, this was certainly the breaking point of either doing some serious soul searching and healing or continuing down the path of a non-sustainable lifestyle.
Chaos is one of the keys that tells us things are about to change. We have the ability to choose in this situation. We can continue to ignore the “elephant in the room” or we can acknowledge it and start to deal proactively with the changes happening in our life.
Change is growth. It is living life. It is about recognizing and being conscious of what the journey is teaching us about ourselves. Becoming conscious, becoming self-aware. It is recognizing the elephant is in the room. Is it being self-destructive and needing to be addressed? Or is it just sitting there waiting to be called into action?
I’m now on a first name basis with the elephant. We have a mutual understanding, and I've established self-awareness with the ability to tune in and adjust when life gets off track. Setting healthy boundaries allows me the balance between work/life, self/caregiver/professional and providing the much-needed space of seeking life purpose and joy in a conscious way.
This balance has provided a positive shift and a new perspective. Over the past 3 years, I have completed my holistic health education with focus on nutrition, gut health, and brain health. Moving out west for better weather and environment for my husband and I; providing the healing power we both so desperately needed. Established my holistic health and wellness business, Noetic Nutrition and Wellness LLC. Started volunteering at a local horse rescue helping with medical checks of more than 70 beautiful horses. Living my life purposefully and intentionally, all while healing and feeling better every day.
Today was supposed to provide another exiting milestone moment for us, but it has been postponed. The past couple of days have reminded me that sometimes you must let go and trust the process. Never live your life in fear but embrace every moment with love and purpose. Every moment tells a story and teaches us a valuable lesson. With that my friends – enjoy your Sunday and can’t wait to share the news… well, when time is right!
Love and Light
